ANNIE -- Photo CD Instructions

Due to the many possible ways that a home computers or laptops may be configured with respect to default actions to take when a CD is inserted in their CD drives, and due to the multiple levels of security that any given computer may be utilizing, when the ANNIE PHOTO CD is inserted several things may happen. Here is a list of those things. BELOW the list each one is examined and instructions for utilizing your ANNIE PHOTO CD in each case are provided.
  1. The index for the ANNIE PHOTO CD may pop up. This has several selections (view slide shows, location of the high resolution photos, a QuickView section, etc.) This is the optimum outcome. NOTHING ELSE IS REQUIRED! CLICK AWAY AND ENJOY YOUR ANNIE PHOTO CD!
  2. An AutoPlay window may appear, asking you what action you want your computer to take with your ANNIE PHOTO CD.
  3. Various security questions may arise. (Your computer is asking you if it is ok to run the programs on your ANNIE PHOTO CD.)
  4. You may simply see a list of files, in several possible formats.

Let's deal with each of these possibilities now:

#1 -- The index for the ANNIE PHOTO CD may pop up.
This is exactly what we want to happen! On your screen, the index page will look like this:


Simply click on the various "CLICK HERE" links to access the functionality of your ANNIE PHOTO CD.

#2 -- You may see an AutoPlay window.
An AutoPlay window looks like this:


If you see this window, select the option to run the AutoRunPro.exe program on your ANNIE PHOTO CD. This is the program that will produce the index page (above) that you WANT to see in order to use your ANNIE PHOTO CD.

#3 -- Various security questions may arise.
Some examples are shown below. This is likely not an exhaustive list of the windows that MAY pop-up on YOUR system, but this will give you a feel for what may occur. In each case you would select (click on) the option that has a green arrow pointing to it.





4 -- You may simply see a list of files, in several possible formats.
Here are some examples of what you may see. But no matter what YOUR list of files looks like, the action you should take is to DOUBLE-CLICK on the "DoubleClick_this_file_to_START.html" file. That selection is indicated by a green arrow in each of the examples below. After you double click on that file, the index page for your ANNIE PHOTO CD will appear.
